Aqumotic Himalayan Salt Lamp, Cordless Rechargeable

A small salt lamp cut from natural Himalayan rock salt mined at Khewra in Punjab, Pakistan, lit from inside by a warm LED. It runs on an internal rechargeable battery, so there is no cable trailing across the shelf.

The light

Warm amber, low intensity, closer to candlelight than to a reading lamp. Because each piece is cut from natural rock, the exact shade varies with the iron content of that seam. Two lamps side by side will not match, which is the point of the material.

Available in a fixed warm tone, or a colour-changing version.

Looking after it

Wipe with a barely damp cloth, then dry it. Never rinse it under a tap, as salt dissolves. Stand it on a coaster or mat rather than directly on wood.

Good to know

This is decorative lighting. Salt lamps have been tested for air purification and negative ion output and do not produce meaningful amounts of either, so we sell this for what it is: a warm, low light cut from natural rock.

Salt draws moisture out of humid air, so in a damp room the surface may feel damp or bead slightly. That is normal for salt and not a fault. LED lamps run cool and so dry themselves less than heated lamps, which makes the coaster worth using.
