A night light cut from natural gypsum crystal, lit by an LED and switched by touch rather than a button or cord.

This one is not salt

Worth saying plainly, since it sits alongside our salt lamps and looks similar lit. Gypsum is a different mineral. It is not hygroscopic in the way salt is, which means it will not sweat or weep in a humid room and does not need a coaster. If you like the look of a salt lamp but live somewhere damp, this is the more practical choice.

The light

Choose yellow, white, or warm. Touch the body to switch it. Warm is the option most people keep beside a bed; white reads more like a functional lamp than an ambient one.

Looking after it

Dust with a dry, soft cloth. Gypsum is softer than you might expect and scratches more easily than glass, so avoid abrasive cloths and cleaning sprays.
