You get the warm amber light of a salt lamp and a well for a few drops of essential oil. It is genuinely convenient if you want both on one shelf and one plug.

The trade-off is worth knowing before you buy, because most listings skip it: salt and added moisture work against each other. Salt dissolves in water, so a lamp that sits next to a damp oil well will show surface wear sooner than a plain lamp in the same room. Keep the oil in its well, wipe up spills straight away, and it will be fine. Treat it like a humidifier and it will not last.

Looking after it

Wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry it. Never rinse it. Do not put oil directly onto the salt itself, only in the well provided. Stand it on a coaster.

Good to know

This is decorative lighting with a diffuser well. Salt lamps have been tested for air purification and negative ion output and do not produce meaningful amounts of either, and a diffuser scents a room rather than cleaning it. Essential oils can be an irritant for some people and some pets, so introduce them gradually if anyone in the house is sensitive.

Salt draws moisture from humid air, so the surface may feel damp in a damp room. Normal for the material.
