Himalayan Salt Lamp, Crystal Bowl and Natural Cut

Choosing between the options

The bowl versions hold loose salt chunks in an open dish, so the light escapes between the pieces and scatters. The natural cut versions are a single carved piece with a solid glow. Bowls look more textured and are easier to top up if a piece chips. A single carved lamp is easier to wipe clean, since there are no gaps for dust to sit in.

Looking after it

Wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry it. Never rinse it. On bowl versions, lift the chunks out occasionally and wipe the dish, as dust settles between them. If chunks fuse together in a humid room, separate them gently rather than forcing them.

Good to know

This is decorative lighting. Salt lamps have been tested for air purification and negative ion output and do not produce meaningful amounts of either. What it genuinely gives you is a warm, low-level light with a texture no manufactured lamp reproduces.

Salt draws moisture from humid air, so the surface may feel damp in a damp room. That is the material behaving normally, not a defect.
